Profile
Assistant Professor at the Institute for Advanced Studies on Asia (IASA), the University of Tokyo since 2022. I was born in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and earned my B.A. in Chinese Major at the Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University. Subsequently, I served as the Secretary to the Ambassador at the Royal Thai Embassy in Beijing from 2010 to 2012. I pursued my M.A. and Ph.D. in Social Sciences at the Graduate School of Social Sciences, Waseda University.
My research centers on comparative historical narratives and international perceptions (対外認識) in Southeast and East Asia. Currently, I am teaching the course “Southeast Asia in Global Context” at JEA. In this class, I aim to delve into historical narratives and mutual perceptions among countries in East and Southeast Asia with my students. The objective is to cultivate a deeper understanding of the interconnections and the distinctive cultural values that each nation espouses.
