Profile
Dr. Yoshimoto earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Tokyo, and received his Ph.D. from the Ohio State University (political science). He joined the University of Tokyo as a lecturer in September 2020.
Research Interests
Dr. Yoshimoto’s main research interests lie in the field of international political economy, especially the interface between international economy and domestic political institutions. Specific areas of interest include foreign aid, global value chains, and financial regulations.
