Application Schedule for 2017 Enrollment

October 28 (Fri.), 2016, to November 30 (Wed.), 2016Applicants must choose one of the two programs (Japan in East Asia or Environmental Sciences) when applying. They will be evaluated according to the program they choose.

December 6 (Tue.), 2016, to, January 20 (Fri.), 2017Applicants are initially assessed on their educational achievements and the content of their application essays. Reviewers also take into consideration the evaluation forms and other materials submitted by the applicant.

January 20 (Fri.), 2017, to January 27 (Fri.), 2017Applicants receive the result of the first screening. Those selected are invited to attend an interview.

April 5 (Wed.), 2017Places for the programs at the University of Tokyo are offered to successful applicants. Merit-based scholarships are offered to those who qualify.

May 11 (Thu.), 2017Deadline for the return of your Letter of Intent. Administrative procedures for preparation to study in Japan begin.
